Day 7 We spent hours on the bus getting from Erfurt to Mainz with a stop at the Coberg Castle in the middle. We are riding on a very comfortable coach bus. Each day we move up or back two seats depending where we were the day before. By the end of trip we should be near the front. Sarah is sitting next to Ardie, the lady in the red jacket. She is from Canada but graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. Denise is right behind Ardie and is sitting with Kerrolyne from Canada. Day 11 Our final full day in Munich. We have limited pictures because we did the bus tour of Munich and it was difficult to take notes and take pictures that didn't end up blurry. First section built of the summer palace for the wife of the king; 2 more huge sections were added Hanging the lights on the tannenbaum in Marienplatz. The town hall is behind with the glockenspiel in the tower. Can you see the figures in the second picture? Munich's May Pole Second half of day was spent on an excursion to Lindorf Schloss (palace). This was the palace built by Ludwig II up in the Bavarian Alps. It's architecture was strongly influenced by the French. Unfortunately the garden area was put to rest for the winter.
